Marcus Risso, B.S., M.B.A., J.D. - Patent Attorney:

Marcus Risso is a senior attorney and Director of Domestic Patents for Tope-McKay & Associates.

Mr. Risso advises senior executives, investors, and entrepreneurs in both business transactions and intellectual property, including in the fields of software, mechanical, materials, and bio-sensor technologies.  In addition, he has experience advising corporations and other business entities in connection with entity selection and formation, intellectual property strategy, licensing, contract preparation, and other related business matters. Mr. Risso also has experience in preparing and prosecuting patent applications for a variety of clients, from start-up ventures to major corporations and academic institutions.

Mr. Risso received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California, Davis.  Following his graduation from U.C. Davis, he attended the Sacramento Entrepreneurship Academy to gain first hand business experience from seasoned entrepreneurs.  Furthering his business and legal analytical skills, he attended a joint J.D./M.B.A. program at Pepperdine University, where he received both his Masters in Business Administration and his Juris Doctor.

Mr. Risso is admitted to practice law in California, the United States District Courts, and before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. He is a member of the State Bar of California and various bar associations.
