Zuzanna Poprawski:

Zuzanna Maja Poprawski is an experienced Intellectual Property Attorney who specializes in transactional trademark law and international patent filings.  In the international patent field, she assists clients though the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) process and the direct national filings.

Additionally, while with Tope-McKay & Associates, Ms. Poprawski has filed and successfully prosecuted to registration numerous trademark applications on behalf of clients, giving her a depth of trademark prosecution experience few practitioners can match.  In addition to assisting with international patent applications and trademarks, Ms. Poprawski also assists other staff members as an editor of patent application drafts in order to ensure readability by a non-technical viewer.  Ms. Poprawski also assists clients with non-intellectual property issues including research, contracts and other legal document drafting.

Ms. Poprawski received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business and Economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara, in July 1994.  She continued her education by pursuing a Juris Doctor degree from Southwestern University School of Law in Los Angles, California graduating in 1998 and being admitted to the California Bar.   During law school, Ms. Poprawski traveled to Europe to participate in the Columbus School of Law International Business & Trade Summer Law Program in Cracow, Poland.  While in law school, Ms. Poprawski was an Editor of the Southwestern Law Journal and an Executive Board Member of the Southwestern Women’s Law Association.  Ms. Poprawski also served as an extern to the Hon. Ronald S. W. Lew in the Federal Circuit Court.
