Leigh Firestone Ms. Leigh Firestone is an experienced intellectual property attorney who specializes in patent prosecution in the biotechnology field. Ms. Firestone has a Master of Arts degree in Molecular Endocrinology from UC Berkeley and a Juris Doctor from the University of San Francisco School of Law. Ms. Firestone's professional experience is exceptionally broad and extensive. Over the span of almost twenty years in intellectual property, she has filled positions involving patent work of both a hands-on and a primarily consultative nature. After working as a patent attorney for Chiron Corporation, Ms. Firestone went on to fill the capacity of Intellectual Property Director at Product Health, Inc. Since that time, Ms. Firestone has done a significant amount of private contract patent work for cutting edge biotechnology firms such as Cytyc Health Corporation, Ventria Bioscience, FoxHollow Technologies and Duke Empirical. Recently, Ms. Firestone served as private counsel to Mintz Levin, where she prosecuted patent applications for Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, and Biomedical Arts clients. She has also occupied similar positions with nFocus Neuromedical, Cybertran International and the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory.
